What We Do

planingOn 20th December 2019, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, announced the funding settlement for local government for 2020-21* of £49.1billion [view the announcement].

Over half of local government spending is historically won by Small to Medium sized Enterprises by means of public sector tendering.

Let's make sure that some of that money goes to your business!

We work with businesses that are tendering for the first time, through to larger organisations requiring more support on higher value bids.

Our primary aim is always to win your company the contract. Contracting in specialist tendering skill however, should be viewed as a value-adding investment that is over and above the pursuit of any individual tender. Your people will become ‘tender-aware’ and you will start to win more work.

Take advantage of having the full tender process managed by Tenderwin on your behalf. We will undertake all tasks including:

  • Registering your business with the Tendering Authority.
  • Preparing a project plan and time frames.
  • Understanding the win themes and aligning your business to the needs of the Authority.
  • Working out the relationships between the questions and sections in the Response Document.
  • Devising how the tender response will be reviewed.
  • Setting the whole process to deadlines.
  • Working with the client on-site and remotely, to fully understand their business and gather data.
  • Facilitating working groups within the client’s organisation, to find creative solutions, in order to solve operational issues.
  • Analysing gaps in the client’s proposed offering and developing new supporting evidence.
  • Interpreting the client’s business to prepare the narrative for the first draft.
  • Writing all responses to develop the comprehensive first draft.
  • Reviewing the completed draft with the client, to identify how the response can be polished.
  • Formatting the structure, layout, design and graphics of the final draft, to ensure that it complies with the tender’s instructions.
  • Polishing the response document so that it is presented with a professional finish.
  • Advising the client as to how the tender’s score can be maximised.
  • Acting as the liaison with the Tendering Authority’s Procurement Officer.
  • Fielding clarifications to the Tendering Authority and interpreting the most effective approach to responses from the Authority.
  • Helping the client to provide a suitable balance of commercial offer to operational solution.
  • Guiding the client to the point of being awarded the tender, incorporating the pre and post contract commencement and implementation phases.
  • Undertaking a comprehensive debrief with the Tendering Authority, irrespective of whether the tender is successful or otherwise and helping the client to action the learning points, in order to make the client’s future approach to tendering more robust.
