What We Do

In December 2013, Secretary of state for communities and local government Eric Pickles announced the funding settlement for local government for 2014-15 of £24billion*.

Over half of local government spending is historically won by Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) by means of public sector tendering.

Let's make sure that some of that money goes to your business!

We work with businesses that are tendering for the first time, through to larger organisations requiring more support on higher value bids.

Our primary aim is always to win your company the contract. Contracting specialist tendering skill should be viewed as a value-adding investment that is over and above the pursuit of any individual tender. You people will become ‘tender-aware’ and you will win more work.

Take advantage of having the full tender process managed by Tenderwin on your behalf. We will undertake all tasks including:

  • Registering your business with the Tendering Authority.
  • Preparing a project plan and time frames.
  • Understanding the win themes and aligning your business to the needs of the Authority.
  • Working out the relationships between the questions and sections.
  • Devising how the tender response will be reviewed.
  • Setting the whole process to deadlines.
  • Working with the client on-site to fully understand their business and gather data.
  • Facilitating working groups within the client’s organisation, to find creative solutions, in order to solve operational issues.
  • Analysing gaps in the client’s proposed offering and developing new supporting evidence.
  • Interpreting the client’s business to prepare the narrative for the first draft.
  • Writing all responses to develop the comprehensive first draft.
  • Reviewing the completed draft with the client, to identify how the response can be polished.
  • Formatting the structure, layout, design and graphics of the final draft, to ensure that it complies with the tender’s instructions.
  • Polishing the response document so that it is presented with a professional finish.
  • Advising the client as to how the tender’s score can be maximised.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with the Tendering Authority’s Procurement Officer.
  • Managing all activities on the Tendering Authority’s procurement web portal.
  • Fielding clarifications to the Tendering Authority and interpreting the most effective approach to responses from the Authority.
  • Helping the client to provide a suitable balance of commercial offer to operational solution.
  • Guiding the client to the point of being awarded the tender, incorporating the pre and post contract commencement and implementation phases.
  • Undertaking a comprehensive debrief with the Tendering Authority, irrespective of whether the tender is successful or otherwise and helping the client to action the learning points, in order to make the client’s approach to tendering more robust.

We will:

  • Set clear objectives throughout the tendering process.
  • Comprehensively manage the tendering process, from registration through to debrief.
  • Get your key messages across.
  • Ensure that your tender response is aligned to the needs of the buyer.
  • Write confidently and clearly.
  • Link up all of the components of your tender response, to make it flow.
  • Build a persuasive argument.
  • Maximise impact.
  • Leave a positive lasting impression.

Each live tender is a learning process for your business. We help you to understand the strengths and weaknesses that your business presents by:

  • Facilitating meetings and interviews with key members of staff.
  • Improving your current policies and procedures, or providing you with new ones.
  • Capturing relevant business information such as accounts and insurance documents.
  • Advising and assisting you in obtaining relevant trade and/or ISO accreditations.
  • Collating references and case studies.
  • Defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Unique Selling Points (USPs).
  • Advising on areas of weakness.

Are your current policies and procedures compliant?

All established companies that are tendering for public sector contracts should have detailed, compliant and live company policies and procedures in place within their business.

These are more than often a pre-requisite when completing a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ).

Legislation is constantly changing, and company policies and procedures must be kept up to date.

We can provide your business with individually tailored policies and procedures covering a range of different functions that are cost effective and meet your business needs.

Tenderwin can produce any policy that you require, incorporating the most popular company policies and procedures:

  •  Health & Safety
